Vietnam reports one more case of Covid-19

HCMC – The Ministry of Health reported one new Covid-19 patient this morning, July 14, who had flown home from Russia, raising the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 373.

The patient, a 53-year-old man, was placed under quarantine in Ca Mau Province after returning to Vietnam through Can Tho International Airport on Flight VN5062 on July 9.

His positive test result came out on July 12, so the resident of Hanoi City is being treated at Ca Mau General Hospital, VietnamPlus news site reported.

As of 6.00 a.m. today, Vietnam has gone 89 consecutive days without community transmission of Covid-19.

Some 13,350 individuals are now under quarantine in Vietnam, with 72 people quarantined at local hospitals and over 12,870 others placed under quarantine at centralized centers.

Among the 373 confirmed cases, 352 Covid-19 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospital, according to the ministry.
