Vietnam reports one more imported Covid-19 case

HCMC – An Indian woman, aged 29, has become Vietnam’s latest Covid-19 case, taking the country’s tally to 1,141 as of tonight, October 20, according to the Ministry of Health.

After entering Vietnam from India through HCMC-based Tan Son Nhat International Airport on October 6, she was immediately quarantined in the city.

Her second test result came back positive for Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, on October 19. The patient, whose husband had earlier been confirmed as positive for the virus, is being treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.

Up to now, 1,046 Covid-19 patients have made a full recovery, while 35 others have died. Among the remaining active cases in the country, 16 patients have tested negative for the disease one to three times.
