Vietnam reports one more imported Covid-19 case

HCMC – The Ministry of Health has reported one new imported case of Covid-19, who returned to Vietnam from Australia through Can Tho International Airport on September 23, taking the country’s tally to 1,099 as of tonight, October 7.

A 28-year-old woman, who lives in Ninh Kieu District in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, was put under quarantine after her arrival.

She tested positive for Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, on October 5. The patient is being treated at Can Tho’s Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital.

As many as 1,023 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have made a full recovery, while 35 people have died of the virus. Among the currently active cases, 18 have tested negative for Covid-19 one to three times.
