Vietnam reports seven more community-transmitted Covid-19 cases

HCMC – Two locals in Quang Nam Province and five people in Danang City were confirmed as positive for Covid-19 today, July 28, raising the country’s tally to 438.

The two female residents of Quang Nam Province, tagged as the 432nd and 433rd cases, tested positive for the coronavirus on July 27. The 432nd, aged 63, attended a wedding party at the For You Palace Wedding and Convention Center in Danang City on July 18, while the 433rd, aged 67, took care of her husband at Danang Hospital from July 13 to 16.

The remaining five patients, who were reported as new Covid-19 cases in Danang City, aged from 29 to 71, include two women and three men. The three men, one of whom is a resident of Quang Nam Province, are receiving treatment at the Intensive Care and Toxic Department of Danang Hospital.

On the same day, four patients, with one at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi City, two at Bac Lieu General Hospital and one at Ca Mau General Hospital, were declared free of Covid-19. Up to now, 369 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have fully recovered.

Meanwhile, Le Duc Nhan, director of Dannag Hospital, told the Ministry of Health today that the 416th and 418th patients, the most critical cases in the country, have taken a turn for the better as they are no longer presenting a fever, VnExpress news site reported.

The 416th patient may stop using extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine in the next few days.
