Must read

HCMC – An international commercial flight from Seoul to Hanoi will be operated on a trial basis on September 25 for the authorities to test the preparedness to welcome foreign visitors, after the country approved the resumption of international air services.

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on September 23 put up tickets for sale for Flight VN417 on the Seoul-Hanoi route. The carrier plans to use an Airbus A350 aircraft with over 300 seats to operate the flight, reported VnExpress news website.

A Vietnam Airlines representative said this is the first commercial flight to be approved by the national aviation authority to transport overseas passengers to Vietnam, after months of suspension on international air services to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

After finalizing Covid-19 protocols through the flight, the aviation authority will give permission to commercial flights to bring passengers from seven countries and territories to Vietnam.

Passengers boarding Flight VN417 have to show certificates of negative Covid-19 tests conducted three days ahead of departure, register for quarantine facilities in Vietnam, install Covid-19 tracing app Bluezone and make a health declaration.

The entry of passengers on connecting flights related to a third country will be temporarily denied.

Further, due to the special requirements on Covid-19 infection prevention and control, tickets for this flight are only available at ticket counters and authorized agents of Vietnam Airlines in Vietnam and South Korea, the representative added.
