HCMC – Fresh Vietnamese lychees have made their debut on supermarket shelves in Paris after their arrival at Charles de Gaulle Airport on May 28, according to local media reports.
The first two tons of fresh Vietnamese lychees were transported to Paris by air, marking the inaugural shipment of the 2024 season. These lychees, adhering to GlobalGap standards, were shipped from Thanh Ha in Hai Duong to Europe.
Do Thi Quynh Huong, a representative of ACEM Company, which facilitated the importation, said that her company plans to import around 10 tons of fresh lychees this year to meet the high demand from French customers, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
Vu Anh Son, counselor at the Vietnam Trade Office in France, highlighted the office’s continuous efforts to support Vietnamese companies in entering the French market.
Collaborating with partners, the office is developing a comprehensive, long-term program and enhancing ties within the Vietnamese business community in France to facilitate access for Vietnamese exporters to the French and broader European markets.
