Vietnamese returnee from Japan tests positive for Covid-19

HCMC – The Ministry of Health has reported one new Covid-19 patient, who returned to Vietnam from Japan’s Tokyo on September 30, taking the country’s tally to 1,096 as of tonight, October 2.

The patient, a 24-year-old woman who lives in Vinh Phuc Province, was quarantined in Quang Nam Province after her arrival at Danang International Airport. She tested positive for Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, today. The patient is being treated at the Quang Nam Central General Hospital.

Up to now, 1,020 Covid-19 patients have made a full recovery, while 35 others have died of the virus.

Among the remaining active Covid-19 cases, seven patients have tested negative for the disease one to three times.
