HCMC – Vung Tau City is gearing up for the first Vietnam Seas and Islands Festival, set to take place from May 23 to 26. The event aims to highlight the cultural and natural allure of Vietnam’s coastal regions.
During a press conference on May 10, held by the local government and the Phan Trong Binh People’s Armed Forces Fund, organizers detailed the various activities planned for the festival. These include showcasing the strategic significance and potential of Vietnam’s archipelagos and celebrating the cultural heritage of its coastal areas.
One of the festival’s main attractions will be the “Sea Journey of Aspirations” show, scheduled for Saturday, May 25, at Quang Trung Square. This event will feature a variety of artistic performances. Additionally, a culinary fair will run throughout the festival, with over 200 booths promoting culinary specialties from coastal and delta regions.
Other activities include “The Luminous Harmony Show” mini-show on the evenings of May 23 and 24, and mass yoga performances on the morning of May 24, led by thousands of yoga enthusiasts.
Tran Dinh Khoa, secretary of the Party Committee of Vung Tau City, emphasized the importance of the festival, saying: “This is the first time Vung Tau has organized such a large-scale festival. Hosting this event creates momentum and contributes to bringing economic and social benefits to the local community.”
