HCMC – KP Aero Industries Co., Ltd., a South Korean company, has begun work on a US$20-million aircraft components plant in the central coast city of Danang.
Covering two hectares of land in the Danang Hi-Tech Park, the aircraft components facility will serve as a central hub for manufacturing, processing and assembling critical aircraft components, including APU doors, MIC tips, wing boxes, winglets, and flap support fairings for Boeing 787 and Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
The investor is committed to expediting the construction process to ensure the plant will be operational within this year.
The endeavor aligns with Danang’s ambition to position itself as a global destination for aerospace investments, a key component of the city’s socio-economic development and investment priorities for the 2020-2025 period, as highlighted by a vice chairman of Danang People’s Committee.
This project is anticipated to make a significant contribution by boosting industrial production and enhancing the city’s export value of goods.
