HCMC – The health authority of Hanoi launched the first phase of its Covid-19 inoculation campaign for two priority groups – medical workers and those joining the fight against Covid-19 – at the Thanh Nhan Hospital on March 9.
Tran Thi Nhi Ha, director of the Hanoi Health Department, said that over 95% of people from the priority groups, or around 7,235 people at high risk of Covid-19 infection in the capital city will get vaccinated in the first phase.
The first phase of the vaccination campaign is scheduled to take place from March 9 to 18 in 30 districts and towns in Hanoi. Aside from the Thanh Nhan Hospital, other vaccination facilities available in the city will be used under the program.
Dao Quang Minh, director of the Thanh Nhan Hospital, said that the hospital gave the Covid-19 vaccine to 30 of its medical workers. The hospital had set up an adequate vaccination process which ensures compliance with Covid-19 safety regulations.
According to the Ministry of Health, Hanoi was provided with 8,000 of the 117,600 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine that Vietnam first imported on February 24.
