HCMC – Twenty-three households from the deteriorating apartment building at 440 Tran Hung Dao Street, District 5, HCMC will be relocated to the newly built An Phu apartment building.

HCMC Chairman Phan Van Mai has allowed District 5 authorities to relocate these households and dismantle the aging building, which might collapse any moment.

These residents will temporarily live in the An Phu building on Hau Giang Street in District 6 pending compensation and moving to their new living places, the local media reported.

The city’s leader also tasked the relevant agencies with handling relocation and dismantlement costs, and proposing compensation and resettlement solutions.

Built before 1975, the 440 Tran Hung Dao apartment building has three floors and 21 units.
