HCMC – Two passenger coaches collided on the road leading to the Danang-Quang Ngai expressway in Quang Ngai Province at daybreak today, January 16, leaving one dead and 26 others injured.
The fatal incident occurred in Tu Nghia District at 1:45 a.m. A passenger coach with number plate 36B-029.90 driven by Le Quy Dung, aged 48, was travelling northbound when it crashed into another with number plate 99B-017.96 in the opposite direction.
The northbound vehicle was transporting 44 workers at a firm in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province to the northern province of Thanh Hoa, while there were 10 passengers on board the other, the local media reported.
The crash killed the driver of the northbound passenger coach, injured 26 others in the two vehicles and destroyed the front end of the two cars, according to the Quang Ngai traffic police.
