HCMC – The Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the 2016-2021 tenure and secretary of the committee and Minister of Industry and Trade in the tenure have been found guilty of committing violations and shortcomings in issuing and deploying working rules and personnel matters.
At the seventh session from September 28 to 30 of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, the commission concluded that they had also violated regulations on leadership, the direction of policy development and the issuance of some documents that went against the law.
In addition, they were found to have shown irresponsibility and negligence in leadership and the direction of inspections, leading to many violations and shortcomings in proposing and deploying the planning and development of electricity, especially small and medium solar, wind and hydropower projects and in building policies on the prices of electricity and fuels.
Moreover, the commission pointed out that the standing board of Vietnam Electricity Group’s Party Committee and secretary of the committee and chairman of the group had shown violations and shortcomings in issuing and deploying working rules and personnel matters; irresponsibility in leadership, direction and inspections, resulting in violations in personnel matters, financial investment, construction, equitization, divestment and management and use of State capital in purchasing rooftop solar power output.
The Inspection Commission asked these Party units and members to seriously review their violations, learn from experience, make good their shortcomings and violations and report the results to the Inspection Commission.
