HCMC – National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has signed a resolution organizing municipal government and pilot special development policies and mechanisms for Danang City, including the establishment of a free trade zone in the city.
The Danang free trade zone will be connected to the Lien Chieu seaport, serving as a hub for trading and exchanging goods under import-export relationships with outside areas.
The free trade zone will include various functional areas such as production zones, logistics centers, commercial-service zones, and other designated areas as prescribed by law.
These functional areas will be separated from outside areas to ensure effective inspection, supervision, and control activities by customs and state management authorities.
Special policies and mechanisms will be applied on a trial basis in the Danang free trade zone to boost investment attraction, finance, trade, high-quality tourism, and services, according to the resolution.
