Must read

Hon Rua Beach, also known as Hom or Tai Beach, is a hidden gem along the Ninh Thuan coast, celebrated for its pristine, captivating beauty.

Located in Vinh Hai Commune, Ninh Hai District, this secluded beach is one of Vietnam’s most picturesque coastal spots, remaining largely untouched by modern development.

Accessible by a 15-minute boat ride from Vinh Hy’s center, Hon Rua Beach is a natural masterpiece when viewed from above. Golden-brown rocky cliffs encircle the crystal-clear water, while patches of white sand add a striking contrast. Despite minimal vegetation, the air is fresh and invigorating, creating a tranquil escape.

The beach’s rocky cliffs form a natural enclosure, providing a private retreat for visitors. A highlight of Hon Rua Beach is its natural pool, where cool, clear water offers a unique and refreshing experience. The water’s exceptional clarity allows visibility of up to four meters, revealing the vibrant marine life below.

With calm seas and no rip currents, Hon Rua Beach is perfect for swimming, with supervisors ensuring safety. On days with stronger waves, visitors can head to nearby Coc Beach for alternative activities. While its untouched charm is a major draw, camping overnight at Hon Rua Beach is discouraged due to high tides and the lack of infrastructure, such as electricity, phone signals, and internet access. These factors enhance its appeal as a genuine retreat from modern life.

The weather is sunny year-round, with the best time to visit between February and May. Mornings are especially magical, with soft sunlight, refreshing breezes, and the sea’s stunning crystal-blue hue at its most vibrant. The rough sea season from October to December is less ideal for visiting.

Hon Rua Beach offers a close-to-nature experience, ideal for swimming and snorkeling to explore its coral reefs. Visitors can also rent canoes to explore nearby attractions such as Dolphin Cape, Yen Cave, and Cau Beach, making it an excellent destination for nature enthusiasts seeking adventure and serenity.
