HCMC – The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) has successfully convened its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and elected its 17-member Board of Directors for 2025.

The newly elected board, comprising a mix of returning and incoming members, is set to build on EuroCham’s successes and drive forward its mission to strengthen Europe-Vietnam economic relations.

The board consists of nine directly elected members and eight appointed representatives from EuroCham’s affiliated national business associations.

Leading the board is Bruno Jaspaert, who takes on the role of chairman, supported by Simonetta Di Domenico as secretary general and Alexander Götz as treasurer. The vice-chairs for this term are Jean-Jacques Bouflet, Erick Contreras, and Minh Nguyen, each contributing valuable insights from their respective sectors.

The board also includes a dynamic group of members: Esra Bora, Bo Heijin, Tri-Mai Hoang, André De Jong, Oscar Lopez Alegre, Didier Martin, Torben Minko, Rita Mokbel, Jan-Willem Paans, Søren Roed Pedersen, and Bart Verheyen.

Together, this leadership team reflects EuroCham’s ongoing commitment to fostering strong EU-Vietnam relations, driving sustainable growth, and representing the interests of its diverse membership base across all industries.

Outlining EuroCham’s roadmap for the year ahead, Chairman Bruno Jaspaert emphasised key strategic priorities. Leading with the EuroCham’s engagement with the European Commission, he is spearheading a delegation to Brussels this week to prepare for the anticipated visit of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and several EU Commissioners to Vietnam.

Another major milestone on the horizon is the EuroCham Whitebook Launch in Hanoi on April 11, where EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security; Interinstitutional Relations and Transparency – Mr. Maros Sefcovic – is expected to participate, reinforcing both sides’ commitment to advancing trade and investment cooperation.

Having served as chairman for the past six months, Jaspaert has been deeply engaged in both advocacy and external relations, strengthening EuroCham’s role as a bridge between European businesses and Vietnamese policymakers
