HCMC – HCMC will stage fireworks displays at 30 locations on the night of April 30 to mark the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and the reunification of the country.

The displays will run from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., with two high-altitude shows and 28 low-altitude shows, according to Colonel Tran Van Trung, head of political affairs at the HCMC Military Command.

The high-altitude fireworks will take place near the entrance of the Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Duc City and at the Ben Duoc Memorial Temple in Cu Chi District. The remaining 28 low-altitude fireworks will be set off in densely populated areas and historically significant sites across the city, including Nga Ba Giong in Hoc Mon District, Ben Noc Memorial Temple in Thu Duc City, the Rung Sac Martyrs’ Memorial in Can Gio District, An Phu Dong Base in District 12, and Lang Le Cultural Park in Binh Chanh District.

Other low-level displays will be held in residential areas such as Binh Tri Dong in Binh Tan District and the An Binh neighborhood in Tan Phu District, as well as at landmarks like the Independence Palace, Ba Son Bridge, and Tan Thuan Bridge. Additional sites include cultural parks and administrative centers in districts Go Vap, 6, 7, 8, 11, and 12, as well as the Northwest Industrial Park in Cu Chi, the Thanh Da Peninsula in Binh Thanh District, and the Binh Phu Park in District 6.

Some fireworks will also be launched from barges at Van Phuc Urban Area in Thu Duc City and at Bach Dang Wharf in District 1.

Ahead of the main event, HCMC will conduct two high-altitude fireworks shows at the Saigon Riverside Park in Thu Duc City, scheduled for 9:30 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. on April 19 and April 26.
