Thanh Cong Textile to issue bonus shares at 10% ratio

HCMC – Thanh Cong Textile Garment Investment Trading JSC (HOSE: TCM) will issue bonus shares at a 10% ratio, meaning shareholders will get 10 new shares for every 100 shares held.

The company will finalize the list of eligible shareholders on June 10 and plans to issue nearly 10.2 million shares. It will spend more than VND222.8 billion from its earnings retained as of end-2024 to fund the share issue.

TCM shares surged for a second consecutive session on May 27, closing at its daily ceiling price of VND34,600, up 6.96%, with trading volume reaching more than 4.4 million units. Despite the recent rally, the stock is still down nearly 30% against the beginning of the year.

In business performance, Thanh Cong Textile reported consolidated net revenue of nearly VND1.01 trillion in Q1/2025, up 8.2% year-on-year, while its after-tax profit rose 25.5% to VND78.56 billion.

On the southern market, the VN-Index gained 7.30 points, or 0.55% against the previous session, to close at 1,339.81, with 230 gainers and 88 losers.

Market liquidity improved, with total trade volume surpassing 1.12 billion shares worth VND25.03 trillion, up nearly 9% in volume and 8% in value. Block deal transactions contributed over 66.7 million shares, valued at VND1.8 trillion.

Mid- and small-cap stocks drew greater attention, with strong buying interest focused on sectors such as real estate, industrial zone, construction, export, transportation, and logistics.

Notable gainers with strong trading volumes included PDR, which rose 6.67% to VND17,600 with nearly 25 million shares traded, and NTL, up 6.6% to VND16,100 with 5.08 million shares changing hands.

The HNX-Index added 2.38 points, or 1.08%, to end at 221.79, with 95 winners and 70 losers. Matching volume reached over 124.8 million shares worth VND2.05 trillion.

CEO shares surged in both price and volume, reversing course to hit the ceiling with a 9.8% gain at VND14,600. It also led the HNX in liquidity, with over 28.7 million shares traded.
