HCMC – Three expressway projects, namely Dau Giay-Tan Phu, the third component of Hanoi Beltway No. 4, and the first component of the Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh Expressway, are scheduled to break ground on August 19.
The Dau Giay-Tan Phu Expressway project (phase one) will be implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP), with a total length of over 60 kilometers.
The total investment is estimated at more than VND8.4 trillion, including around VND7.1 trillion from the private investor and about VND1.3 trillion from the State budget.
Component 3 of the Hanoi’s Beltway No. 4 project involves the construction of an expressway over a stretch of more than 112 kilometers.
As planned, the expressway will have six lanes in the long term, with an initial phase built to a four-lane scale. The preliminary total investment is estimated at over VND56.5 trillion.
Component 1 of the Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh Expressway project has a total length of 124.13 kilometers. In the initial phase, it will have four lanes, with a total investment of VND19,965 billion.
On August 19, Vietnam is expected to complete an additional 208 kilometers of main expressway routes, including the Vung Ang-Bung section (55 km), Van Ninh-Cam Lo section (66 km), the remaining 13 km of the Van Phong-Nha Trang section, and other sections such as Quang Ngai-Hoai Nhon (10 out of 88 km), Hoai Nhon-Quy Nhon (45 out of 70 km), and Quy Nhon-Chi Thanh (20 out of 62 km).
This will bring the total length of expressways nationwide to 2,476 kilometers.
Several projects are scheduled for completion in 2026, including the first component of the Chau Doc-Can Tho-Soc Trang expressway, the Dong Dang-Tra Linh and Huu Nghi-Chi Lang expressways, as well as the first and third components of the Khanh Hoa-Buon Ma Thuot Expressway.
