At Noi Bai International Airport, the delegation was welcomed by Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong, and Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam.

Accompanying Governor-General Mostyn are senior officials, including Deputy Assistant to the Governor-General Jeff Barnes, Press Secretary Robert Ayling, Secretary for Strategy and Planning Natalie Kolobaric, Private Secretary and Ceremonial Officer Tiffany McCormack, and Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Gillian Bird.

Ambassador Pham Hung Tam said the visit reaffirms the commitment of both countries to strengthening their comprehensive strategic partnership and expanding cooperation in political, economic, and cultural fields.

For Australia, the trip highlights its policy of deepening ties with Southeast Asia, while for Vietnam, the visit reflects its strategy of enhancing relations with South Pacific nations, particularly Australia.
