HCMC – HCMC has designated all 14 stations along Metro Line No. 1 as collection points for emergency relief supplies being sent to flood-stricken provinces in central Vietnam.

The city’s Metro Line No. 1 operator said the initiative was approved by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC to support communities affected by storms and floods. Donations are accepted daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., and until 11 p.m. on weekends.

All collected goods will be transported to the Fatherland Front Committee’s headquarters in HCMC for sorting before being shipped to the central region.

Priority items include new or cleaned clothing sorted by gender and age, as well as essential goods with intact packaging and valid expiry dates, such as instant noodles, canned food, rice, bottled water, blankets, mats, and raincoats.

At stations, staff will guide donors to the operation room or information counter to hand over items.

For further information, residents can contact Le Hoai Duc, head of the station cluster, at 0903 138 465.
