Domestic gold prices inch up

HCMC – Gold prices in Vietnam inched up today morning, with several major retailers raising both gold bar and gold ring rates by VND300,000 to VND400,000 per tael.

At around 9:30 a.m., Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) quoted gold bars at VND152.2 million for buying and VND154.2 million for selling, up VND400,000 against yesterday’s close, according to data from bieudogiavang.vn.

DOJI posted similar rates, also keeping the buy-sell spread at VND2 million.

Other retailers also raised prices. Phu Quy Jewelry quoted gold bars at VND151.2 million per tael for buying and VND154.2 million for selling, while Bao Tin Minh Chau listed them at VND152.7 million and VND154.2 million per tael.

Gold ring prices also rose.

Bao Tin Minh Chau raised its rates to VND150.7 million per tael for buying and VND153.7 million for selling, up VND400,000. Phu Quy adjusted its prices to VND150.3 million and VND153.3 million per tael, marking an increase of VND300,000 on each side.

On the global market, gold prices were largely flat in the December 4 trading session, VNA reported.

Spot gold edged up 0.1% to US$4,210.49 per ounce at 1:33 a.m. Vietnam time, while United States February 2026 gold futures rose 0.2% to US$4,243 per ounce.
