HCMC – Domestic retail gasoline and oil prices were revised up for the second straight time this year, according to an announcement jointly issued by the ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance at 3.00 p.m. today, January 21.
The bio-fuel E5 RON92 price rose by VND440 per liter to VND23,590, while RON95 petrol is now capped at VND24,360 per liter, up VND490.
The prices of kerosene and diesel oil are VND17,790 and VND18,900 per liter, up VND660 and VND670 per liter, respectively. The price of heavy fuel oil rose by VND630 per kilogram to VND16,990.
During this fuel price adjustment, the ministries decided not to extract money for each liter of bio-fuel E5 RON92, diesel oil and kerosene sold to replenish the fuel price stabilization fund. Meanwhile, the extraction rate for each liter or kilogram of RON95 petrol and heavy fuel oil is VND200 and VND300, respectively.
Local fuel traders were allowed to tap the fund at VND200 for each liter of bio-fuel sold to customers, VND300 for each liter of kerosene and VND400 for each liter of diesel oil, the local media reported.
