Vietnam reports one new coronavirus infection today

HCMC – The Ministry of Health today, April 11, reported one new coronavirus infection, taking to 258 the country’s cumulative total number of confirmed cases.

The patient is a 47-year-old woman residing in Ha Loi Hamlet, Me Linh District, Hanoi. She is the mother of the 257th patient. Both of them are receiving treatment at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in the capital city.

Ha Loi Hamlet has become the newest infection cluster, with six cases.

Data of the Ministry of Health showed that more than 72,500 people are under quarantine nationwide. Among the 258 coronavirus cases, 144 patients have recovered and been released from hospitals.

Hanoi’s Bach Mai Hospital, which is among the country’s largest hotspots for coronavirus, will end its 14-day quarantine tomorrow, April 12.

When the quarantine period is over, the hospital will continue to comply with the Ministry of Health’s coronavirus infection prevention and control measures.
