HCMC – The American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham) collected 658 units of blood during its annual Blood Donor Day 2025, held on August 14 and 22 in HCMC.

The event drew 720 participants and contributed around 164 liters of blood to support patients and help Vietnam reach its national goal of 1.85 million units this year.

This year’s program carried the theme “Give blood, give hope: together we save lives,” aligning with World Blood Donor Day 2025. The drive also helped address seasonal shortages, as blood supply typically declines during the summer.

Since its launch in 2011, AmCham’s Blood Donor Day has attracted more than 9,120 donors, collecting nearly 11,358 units of blood.

Travis Mitchell, AmCham’s executive director, said the success of this year’s event reflects the commitment of the business community. He called on businesses to continue supporting blood donation efforts to maintain a stable and safe supply year-round.

AmCham also expressed gratitude to the Blood Transfusion and Hematology Hospital for its technical support and to every donor who contributed to the drive.
