HCMC – An Cuong Wood – Working JSC, which trades its ACG shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE), has approved a plan to sell more than 4.7 million shares of Thang Loi Homes.
The chairman of the Board of Directors has been authorized to sign the transfer agreement and related transaction documents.
As of March 31, 2025, An Cuong Wood had invested VND396.03 billion, equivalent to a 30% stake in Thang Loi Homes JSC, a company active in real estate trading and housing development.
In the first quarter of 2025, An Cuong Wood reported revenue of VND802.03 billion, up 15.4% year-on-year, and after-tax profit of VND85.01 billion, rising 4.4% against the same period last year. However, its gross profit margin declined from 30.8% to 29.4%.
At the close of trading on May 9, ACG shares rose by 1.07% to VND37,700.
On the southern exchange, the VN-Index lost 2.5 points, or 0.2% against yesterday’s session, at 1,267.3 points, with 130 winners and 173 losers.
Around 755.7 million shares worth VND17.3 trillion were transacted, down by 6.26% in volume and 9.43% in value compared to the previous session. Block deal transactions contributed nearly VND933.5 billion to the overall value.
VIC was the main factor behind the VN-Index’s pullback as it ended a multi-day rally after reaching a three-year high in the previous session.
The stock fell 2.5% to VND76,500, becoming the steepest decliner in the VN30 group and erasing nearly 1.8 points from the benchmark index.
Several other VN30 stocks also extended their losses, with PLX down 1.5%, BVH falling 1.4%, and both BID and VCB losing around 1%.
However, the VN30 basket still edged up by over one point at the close, supported by a 4.4% gain in LPB, a 1.5% rise in FPT, and modest increases in other large-cap stocks such as SAB, TCB, VNM, and MWG.
The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) saw 60 gainers and 91 losers, with its index falling 1.08 points, or 0.5%, to 214.13 points. Total matching volume reached over 62.3 million shares, worth VND856.5 billion.
