Bac Giang attracts 25 new industrial investment projects

HCMC – The northern province of Bac Giang has attracted 25 new investment projects into its industrial zones so far this year, with combined investment capital totaling over US$234 million and VND3.31 trillion.

There were also 39 operational projects increasing their capital by nearly US$615 million and VND817 billion.

Currently, the province hosts 507 investment projects in its industrial zones, with total registered investment capital of US$10.95 billion and VND21.94 trillion.

The estimated disbursement of this capital stands at around US$7.9 billion and nearly VND12.2 trillion. These projects have created over 191,000 jobs, with approximately 60% of workers being local residents.

Under the 2021-2030 development plan, approved by the prime minister in February 2022, Bac Giang aims to develop 29 industrial zones covering about 7,000 hectares.

The Bac Giang Industrial Zone Management Board has prioritized the establishment of 15 zones from 2022 to 2025.

Dao Xuan Cuong, head of the Bac Giang Industrial Zone Management board, said the province will focus on land compensation and clearance for industrial projects, as well as investments in power supply and drainage systems to improve investment quality.

The province will also enhance state management of enterprises in industrial zones, address business challenges, and ensure timely administrative procedures.
