Bach Mai Hospital fully back to normal

HCMC – Hanoi City’s Bach Mai Hospital, one of the country’s largest coronavirus clusters, on May 11 resumed normal operations after over one month of refusing new patients, to lock down the entire hospital due to the many Covid-19 cases being linked with the hospital.

According to the hospital’s announcement, as Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, is under control, Bach Mai Hospital has made some adjustments to its examination and treatment activities.

Outpatient examination and treatment, health re-examination and medical examination on request will be available from May 11. Apart from this, the hospital has started to receive patients from other healthcare facilities and has resumed scheduling surgeries.

To guarantee the safety of patients and health workers, patients and their family members as well as visitors to the hospital must make health declarations, have their body temperatures checked, regularly wash their hands and wear face masks, the local media reported.

The hospital has also established quarantine areas to receive suspected cases of the virus, patients whose test results are not yet available or other patients who test positive for the virus and are waiting to be sent to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Besides this, the hospital has assigned the staff of each department at the hospital to ensure Covid-19 infection prevention and control measures are properly implemented.
