HCMC – Bamboo Airways has named Dao Duc Vu as deputy general director and director of flight operations, with effect from October 1.
Vu has 35 years of experience in aviation and has held several senior posts at aviation agencies and airlines, including the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines, Cambodia Angkor Air, Vietjet Air and Vietravel Airlines.
He served as deputy general director of flight operations at Vietravel Airlines from 2020 before the new appointment, the local media reported.
According to Bamboo Airways, the new appointment was aimed at strengthening the airline’s senior management personnel and speeding up its restructuring plan.
The board of directors at Bamboo Airways has seven members, comprising the general director and six deputy general directors.
After over two years of its operations, Bamboo Airways operates a fleet of 30 aircraft, 21 domestic air routes and 12 international air services to Asia, Australia and Europe. The air carrier aims to raise its fleet to 35 planes in late 2022, 42 in 2023 and 100 in 2028.
