Investments in factories, advanced technology, high-tech human resource development, building a global network of partners, and the endeavor to meet international markets’ strict criteria, help businesses in Vietnam’s aluminum and glass façade industry become partners of choice for quite a few foreign investors, a representative of BM Windows told the Zak World of Façades conference held in Toronto on May 22.
Zak World of Façades is a global conference focusing on façade designs and techniques that has been held in some 40 nations. At the 150th edition in Toronto, Zak focuses on sustainable innovation and solutions to challenges in the construction industry pertaining to façades.
BM Windows is the only member of Vietnam’s façade industry to discuss global procurement with international experts at the event. The company has overcome the challenging period in the domestic market as it has implemented over 550 projects, conquering fastidious markets such as Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, especially The One project, a 91-story tower, which is now the tallest in Canada.
“To take part in export projects, apart from pricing solutions, the company must meet all the most sophisticated technical requirements through its production capacity,” said Mr. Tran Thanh Dung, Managing Director of BM Windows, at the event. For instance, The One project imposes technical criteria almost the highest in North America, and the company has met the entire 16-step inspection process, with strict tests conducted by ASTM International (formerly known as American Society for Testing and Materials).
To achieve this, according to Mr. Tran Thanh Dung, before starting production, all the computation of technical plans, and the construction solution for every project has been carried out by BM Windows. Qualified engineers and specialists are mobilized to scrutinize the technical dossiers of the project. Later, the company invites the investor and experts to Vietnam to consider these technical dossiers and solutions, and assess BM Windows’ premises. The entire inspection process is witnessed by all international stakeholders of the project, including the investor, consultants, and designers. The participation of all stakeholders helps the company make sure all the products meet the highest technical standards of all stages, from checking input materials to production steps and finished products before being marketed.
“BM Windows is well aware that product quality is a vital element for a brand or an enterprise. Therefore, after all, commitment and absolute compliance are important for product quality to meet the requirements of every project, be it domestic or international,” concluded the BM Windows leader.
According to experts, entering the global playground requires careful preparations in terms of resources and infrastructures, and meeting strict technical standards of every country or region, as these help Vietnamese businesses assert their abilities in international markets.
As for BM Windows, the company is implementing a series of big projects in the country, including Long Thanh International Airport, The Sun Tower in District 1, The Global City complex, The Opera Residence in Thu Thiem, and major projects on the banks of the Saigon River like Hilton Saigon, The Nexus, Thu Thiem Zeit River, and De La Sol. BM Windows has got involved in 550 projects nationwide. Simultaneously, the company has exported its products to Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and regional countries such as Cambodia and Myanmar.
