BSR to debut on HOSE next Friday

HCMC – Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited will begin trading more than 3.1 billion BSR shares, valued at nearly VND31 trillion, on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE) on January 17.

The reference price is set at VND21,300 per share, with a trading band of 20% on the first trading day.

BSR shares have been traded on the Unlisted Public Company Market, or UPCoM, since March 2018. HOSE approved the listing in December 2024.

The final trading session for BSR on UPCoM was January 6. Shares closed at VND21,900 each, down 1.8% over the previous session. The average trading volume over the last 10 sessions was nearly four million shares per session.

In the first nine months of 2024, BSR recorded total revenue of over VND87 trillion and net profit of VND674.5 billion.

Closing the trading session today, January 7, the VN-Index moved sideways with a slight gain of 0.05%, adding 0.6 points to close at 1,246.95 points, with 156 winners and 252 losers.

Total trading volume reached over 560 million shares, valued at VND13.19 trillion. Block deals accounted for nearly 54 million shares worth VND1.43 trillion.

Bluechips in the VN30 basket showed mixed performance, with 14 advancers and 13 decliners. BID rose 4.1% to VND40,300, adding nearly three points to the VN-Index. BCM increased 3.3% to VND72,500.

Other gainers included MWG, FPT, and ACB, which saw modest increases. On the other hand, GVR fell 3.7% to VND28,300, while SSI  was the most actively traded stock on the market with 18.5 million shares traded.

Bank stock NAB surged to its the ceiling price of VND16,900, trading over 17.4 million shares, its highest volume since listing.

The HNX-Index dropped 0.88%, or 1.96 points, to close at 220.98 points, with 56 stocks rising and 84 others dipping. Trading volume reached 42.3 million shares worth a combined VND760.5 billion.
