HCMC – De Heus Vietnam held the 2025 Supplier Summit in HCMC on April 23, bringing together partners to discuss sustainable value chain development and responsibility within the food supply chain.

The event was attended by Daniël Stork, consul general of the Netherlands in Vietnam, and Duong Tat Thang, director general of the Department of Livestock Production and Animal Health under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, along with over 100 strategic suppliers and value chain partners.

The summit focused on sustainable development in the agricultural and food supply chain.

De Heus and its partners shared their goals, projects, and practical efforts in Vietnam to reduce emissions in production, promote responsible farming, and improve the welfare of workers and communities within the supply chain.

Alongside efforts to develop a sustainable supply chain with its partners, De Heus is also carrying out a range of strategic projects under its global sustainability initiative, Responsible Feeding.

At the event, De Heus introduced seven key projects in Vietnam to advance its sustainability goals.

These include installing rooftop solar systems with a total capacity of 20 MWp across all production facilities, improving corn cultivation in the Central Highlands, promoting responsible antibiotic use on farms to ensure consumer health, and reducing plastic packaging by expanding transportation systems.
