HCMC – The Ministry of Transport has said it will form three teams to inspect driving testing and training centers across the country and the inspections are slated for completion before April 15 this year.
The Inspectorate at the ministry will be in charge of the first team that will carry out inspections in Hanoi City and 15 provinces in the northern, Central Highlands and south-central regions.
The Transport Department under the ministry will lead the second team to inspect driving and testing facilities in 16 provinces and cities in the north, center and south of the nation.
The third team, led by the Department for Roads of Vietnam, will conduct inspections in the remaining 31 provinces and cities in the country.
Those inspections aim to improve state management, training and testing quality, and the issuance of drivers’ licenses, and prevent and deal with irregularities, if any.
The Ministry of Transport earlier requested local authorities to combat corruption and strengthen management of driving training and testing activities and issuing and changing driving licenses.
Currently, the nation has 149 driving examination centers, 343 automobile driving schools and 463 motorbike driving schools.
