HCMC – Over 1,600 drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles, will provide a light display at the opening ceremony night of the 2023 Nha Trang Sea Festival on June 3.
The event is part of the 2023 Nha Trang Sea Festival titled “Khanh Hoa – yearning for the sea” announced in a press briefing today, May 25.
Accordingly, the 1,653 drones – to be used in the light performance – will represent the milestone of the year 1653 when Khanh Hoa Province was founded.
The drone light show will display the province’s symbols such as Salangane, Cai River, the old citadel of Dien Khanh, Tram Huong Tower with folk songs in the background, reviving historical and cultural stories, regional culture, and highlighting local residents through the language of lights.
According to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, the province’s sea festival will take place from June 3 to 6 with over 60 activities, mainly in the city center of Nha Trang, Hai Thang Tu Square, Thanh Nien soccer yard, and a beach-side park on Tran Phu Street.
Nha Trang’s sea festival is a tourism and cultural event held every two years with its first festival launched in 2003.
Khanh Hoa’s tourism sets a target to attract around four million guests by the end of this year and achieve VND21,000 billion in tourism revenue.
