HCMC – Vietnamese automaker VinFast has announced that the first shipment of VinFast VF 8 SUVs has arrived at Nanaimo Port in Canada.
VinFast has also received all necessary certifications to sell cars in Canada, with delivery set for June this year.
The first 781 VinFast VF 8 vehicles arrived in Canada as part of the initial shipment of 1,879 vehicles exported to North America. The ro-ro vessel left Vietnam on April 16 and 1,098 VF 8s were offloaded in California for the U.S. market on May 12.
“VinFast has taken another big step in its mission to contribute to the global electrification revolution. With VinFast’s non-stop efforts and its business strategy, VinFast will soon gain the trust and support of Canadian customers,” said Nguyen Thi Van Anh, CEO of VinFast North America.
The VF 8 is equipped with a wide range of advanced technologies including the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and VF Online Packages.
In Canada, the VF 8 Eco is priced at C$53,600, equivalent to VND933 million, while the Plus 260 kW sells for C$59,200, or VND1.03 billion.
Recently, VinFast announced that it will be listed in the U.S. through its business venture with local firm Black Spade Acquisition Company.
