HCMC – Tran Ngoc Tam, former Party secretary and former director of the HCMC Tax Department, has got a warning from the inspection commission of the HCMC Party Committee over his involvement in tax refund irregularities.
The inspection commission made this announcement on November 20, highlighting the Party Committee of the HCMC Tax Department’s shortcomings in overseeing and inspecting party units and members involved in the tax refund process.
In connection with the aforementioned violations, Tam has received a warning from the inspection commission. Meanwhile, Le Thi Thu Huong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and former deputy director of the Tax Department, has been criticized.
Tran Thi Binh Minh, former deputy head of the HCMC Department of Planning and Investment, has been expelled from the Party due to the abuse of her authority to allegedly approve the budget for equipment purchases for 12 laboratories, which resulted in damage to the State budget.
Minh had previously been detained on charges of abusing her position while performing official duties.
In accordance with the announcement, Truong Ngoc Khoi, a Party member and vehicle registration officer at the 50-01S auto testing center under the HCMC Department of Transport, has also been expelled from the Party due to his acceptance of bribes.
