HCMC – Hoa Cong Hau, former director of the Tay Ninh Province Health Department, has been charged with allegedly violating regulations in procurement of medical equipment.
The Ministry of Public Security’s investigators on May 17 pressed charges against Hau and eight others at the Tay Ninh Health Department and relevant agencies, and searched their homes and offices for evidence. The nine were accused of violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences.
The eight persons comprise Le Thanh Lu, former deputy head of the Finance and Planning Division at the Health Department; Nguyen Phuoc Thien, former general director of Nam Sai Gon Investment and Consulting Service Company; Bach Thi Dieu Hien, staff member at LTQ Hi-tech Company, formerly known as NG Company; Hoang Thi Thuy Nga, chairwoman of the Establishment Committee at Neo Successful Journey Group (NSJ Group); Doan Thi No and Nong Thi Bich Suu, both former deputy heads of the Project Division at NSJ Group; Phung Thi Duong, former head of the Project Division at NSJ Group; and Hoang Ngoc Hong Phuc, former deputy head of public relations at NSJ Group.
Among these defendants, Hoang Thi Thuy Ngan, Doan Thi No, Nong Thi Bich Suu, Phung Thi Duong and Hoang Ngoc Hong Phuc had earlier been prosecuted and subject to preventive measures for their alleged violations linked to the Can Tho City Health Department.
