Fuel retailers told to adhere to e-invoice rule

HCMC – Fuel retail businesses have time until the end of this month to adhere to the e-invoice regulation as mandated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Fuel retail businesses failing to issue e-invoices for each and every transaction after March 31 this year will face sanctions, said the ministry.

In an urgent directive addressed to municipal and provincial authorities, the ministry outlined the requirement for fuel retailers to transition to e-invoicing.

Local authorities are further instructed to provide guidance and assistance to businesses in comply with the e-invoicing regulation.

According to Ministry of Finance data, by February, 7,542 fuel stations nationwide had begun e-invoicing, up by 5,849 stations compared to the end of last year.

Certain provinces have demonstrated full compliance, with Bac Ninh achieving 100%, Daklak 97%, and Thanh Hoa 95%.
