HCMC – The Impact Business Lab, a collaborative initiative co-organized by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) at Fulbright University Vietnam and Impact Link Asia, is set to launch its inaugural program designed to support social impact businesses and university students.

This three-month open innovation program aims to equip learners with essential skills and coaching to tackle real-world challenges faced by social impact businesses, focusing on sectors such as sustainable agriculture, well-being, and healthcare. The application deadline for the program is June 26, 2024.

The Impact Business Lab embraces a human-centric and problem-based framework, encouraging innovative solutions that address the needs of customers and stakeholders.

It aims to support learners in working together to develop solutions to actual business challenges. Participants will engage in a structured process involving problem deep-dive, ideation, and prototyping, guided by experienced coaches and experts.

Additionally, small- and medium-sized enterprises will benefit from innovative ideas, an improved internal environment for innovation, and access to talented individuals dedicated to creating social and environmental impact.

Speaking about the initiative, Lam Ngoc Thao, founder and CEO of Impact Link Asia, said: “As Vietnam’s Social Impact Business (SIB) ecosystem is still in its early stages, this initiative aims to do more than just help SIBs overcome their challenges.

“It seeks to ignite inspiration and nurture the next generation of innovative impact entrepreneurs, fostering a future where business solutions drive meaningful social and environmental change.”
