HCMC – The German Business Association (GBA) in Vietnam held its Business Awards 2024 ceremony in HCMC on August 29, recognizing the achievements of German and European businesses operating in the country.
“These awards not only recognize organizational achievements but also exemplify the strength, resilience, and forward-thinking spirits that define our community,” according to Alexander Ziehe, chairman of the GBA.
He said the businesses’ dedication to innovation, commitment to sustainability, and unwavering drive for excellence has set new benchmarks and inspired others.
The awards ceremony, held in Binh Thanh District, saw Nestlé Vietnam honored as the Green Business of the Year for its commitment to environmental sustainability.
Bosch Vietnam received the Business Innovation Award for its technological advancements, while PALLAS BrandFare was recognized as the SME Excellence Award recipient for its performance as a small and medium-sized enterprise.
Super Energy Corporation PLC was awarded the CSR Achievement of the Year with its corporate social responsibility initiatives. The Young Innovation Award went to Copepods, a project led by students from Danang University of Economics and Danang University of Science and Education.
Dr. Josefine Wallat, consul general of Germany in HCMC, said German companies operating in Vietnam not only excel in their industries but also embody the values of quality, innovation, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.
“I am confident that the German business community will continue to strengthen its partnership with Vietnam in the years to come,” she added.
The GBA Business Awards are open to a wide range of applicants, from established corporations to emerging startups.
Categories 1 to 4 are accessible to all GBA members and businesses, regardless of size or industry. For young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 25, Category 5 offers a platform to showcase their innovative ideas and early-stage ventures.
