HCMC – Thyssenkrupp, a German industrial conglomerate, has announced the transition of its cement business headquarters to Vietnam, with the country being a base to serve customers across the Asia-Pacific region.

“Considering Vietnam is the largest market in terms of cement production in the dynamic and growing region, I am convinced of the success of this strategic move to bundle our activities in Vietnam,” said Pablo Hofelich, CEO of Thyssenkrupp’s Cement Technologies.

Its office newly-opened in Hanoi City, with more than 80 staff members, is one of the largest engineering centers of thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG, which has a long track record of successful projects, most recently in Thailand and Cameroon.

The office provides a wide range of solutions from engineering and fabrication to operation and maintenance.

Currently, the office is working on localization projects, aimed at combining the competence of local fabricators with German expertise and quality control processes to offer the best solutions to customers at competitive prices.

Thyssenkrupp operates in 78 countries, generating 42 billion euros in revenue in the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
