Govt Inspectorate to conduct 89 inspections of property, infrastructure firms in 2026

HCMC – The Government Inspectorate of Vietnam will conduct 89 inspections in 2026, focusing on real estate developers and infrastructure investors, according to its official inspection plan.

The program includes 67 scheduled and 22 backup inspections, which will look into compliance with laws on construction investment, housing development and real estate business, as well as the management and use of State capital and assets and waste prevention at enterprises.

Several large real estate and infrastructure entities are on the list.

In the first quarter of 2026, the Government Inspectorate will inspect Nam Long Investment Corporation for 60 days, reviewing legal compliance at selected construction, housing and property projects developed by the company.

Over the same period, Saigon Real Estate Corporation (Saigonres) and Saigon Trading Corporation (Satra) will be inspected for the management and use of capital and assets.

In the second quarter, inspections will target Him Lam JSC and Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Corporation (Vinaconex), focusing on compliance with regulations governing construction investment, housing and real estate activities.

The Hanoi Housing Development and Investment Corporation (Handico) is also scheduled for inspection, with a focus on waste prevention in the management and use of housing and land assets, as well as joint ventures, capital contributions and divestment activities during 2019–2025.

In the fourth quarter, the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUD) will be inspected on similar issues, including the management of housing and land lots  and investment and divestment activities. Geleximco Group is also slated for inspection over compliance with laws on construction investment, housing and real estate at several projects.

According to the Government Inspectorate, its the Bureau for Inspection, Complaint and Denunciation Resolution in the Construction Sector (Bureau VII) will lead seven inspections in 2026, concentrating on infrastructure construction and real estate investment.

These include an inspection of the Vietnam Expressway Corporation in the second quarter related to the Ben Luc–Long Thanh Expressway project, and inspections in the third quarter of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Unit covering the Van Ninh–Cam Lo and Nha Trang–Cam Lam projects.

The department will also inspect the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam in the first quarter and Vietnam Register in the third quarter, reviewing compliance with laws during the 2021–2025 period.
