HCMC – Danang authorities have approved a zoning plan for the western area, including the development of the Hai Van Pass area into an urban and eco-tourism space.
The zoning plan aims to create new tourism, trading, and service destinations for Danang City, establishing a model of urban areas combined with adventure travel.
According to the approved master plan for urban planning of Danang by 2030, with a vision to 2045, the city will have 12 subdivisions. Among these, the ecological western subdivision includes the north and west of the city, stretching from Bach Ma Mountain in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, through the communes of Hoa Bac, Hoa Lien, Hoa Ninh, and Hoa Phu to Hoa Khuong in Hoa Vang District. The area covers 57,692 hectares.
The main part of this ecological subdivision is the Hoa Hiep Bac tourist area, covering 3,819 hectares. It will serve as a tourism city, harmonizing the goals of promoting economic, cultural, and social development while preserving the natural environment.
Specifically, the project aims to develop a mixed-use tourism and resort urban area called Van Village, in harmony with nature.
The area is also aimed to link the development of eco-tourism with natural conservation, adventure tourism with natural conditions, and the growth of commercial services and supporting industries with the Lien Chieu port area.
The approved project serves as a foundation for Danang to complete major projects and infrastructure developments, such as Lien Chieu Port, Van Village, and the Hai Van Coastal Area projects.
