HCMC – The People’s Committee of Gia Lai Province has approved investment plans for a cluster of four solar and wind power projects which cost a combined VND5 trillion.
The projects, with a total capacity of 230 megawatts, are expected to break ground in late 2026, with completion and commercial operation targeted for August 2028.
The consortium involved in the projects comprises EMI Investment JSC, Nhon Hoa 1 Wind Power JSC, and Nhon Hoa 2 Energy JSC.
The projects will be developed in Ia Le and Chu Puh communes. Of these, three solar power plants, including Nhon Hoa 1, 1A, and 2, will have a combined capacity of 188 megawatts, cover nearly 275 hectares and generate around 345,715 megawatt-hours of electricity annually.
Meanwhile, the Nhon Hoa 3 wind power plant will have an installed capacity of 42 megawatts, occupying more than 27 hectares.
The provincial government requires the investors to strictly comply with National Power Development Plan VIII, ensure adequate financing, and use equipment that meets technical and operational safety standards. Notably, the province has imposed strict rules prohibiting the transfer of projects or changes in ownership structure without prior written approval from competent authorities.
