HCMC – Hanoi, Danang and HCMC are expected to attract the most visitors during the upcoming public holiday which comprises the death anniversary of the Hung Kings, Reunification Day on April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1.
Agoda, the hotel and airline ticket booking website, said the number of hotel room and air ticket searches this year have increased nearly 60% compared to last year.
HCMC has been drawing the most interest from domestic and international tourists thanks to the abundance of connecting flights, as tourists can visit this destination before moving on to other places.
The inbound segment has seen the most visitors from the U.S., followed by Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and South Korea.
Vu Ngoc Lam, director of Agoda Vietnam, said factors influencing tourists’ choices include more flight routes and a variety of events.
