HCMC – Tax authorities in HCMC have publicly disclosed 4,605 taxpayers with overdue tax liabilities totaling nearly VND15 trillion or US$589 million as of March 2026, under Vietnam’s tax administration regulations.
The HCMC Tax Department said the disclosure was made in accordance with the 2019 Law on Tax Administration and Government Decree 126/2020.
Vung Tau Paradise Joint Venture Company topped the list with tax arrears of nearly VND2.1 trillion, followed by Xuyen Viet Oil Trading Transport and Tourism Company with more than VND1.97 trillion and Golden Hill Investment JSC with nearly VND1.66 trillion.
Fifteen companies were listed with tax debts ranging from more than VND100 billion to under VND1 trillion, including Housing Development and Trading JSC with over VND895 billion and Pacific Airlines JSC with more than VND567 billion.
The tax authority also reported nearly 200 cases involving debts of less than VND100,000, including some of only a few dong.
Separate subordinate tax units in the city also published lists of overdue taxpayers as of March 31.
Under Vietnamese regulations, tax authorities can publicly disclose taxpayers with overdue obligations exceeding 90 days. Enforcement measures may include account deductions, account freezes, suspension of invoice use, customs restrictions, asset seizure and proposals to revoke business registration certificates.
