HCMC – The 10th Japan-Vietnam Festival (JVF) will take place on March 8 and 9 at September 23 Park in District 1, aiming to enhance cultural exchange and promote trade, investment, and tourism between the two countries.

This year’s festival, themed “Holding Hands Together – Towards the Future,” was announced by the HCMC People’s Committee and the Japanese organizers on February 28, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

The event will feature a series of exchange activities focusing on trade, cuisine, culture, and tourism, with around 150 organizations attending.

A special highlight is a series of cultural, artistic, and sports exchanges aimed at strengthening ties between the young generations of Vietnam and Japan. These activities will promote the message “Children – Earth – Future.”

One of the festival’s key events is a cycling program, which will bring together delegates and athletes from HCMC and Japan to raise environmental awareness and promote a healthy lifestyle. The event will also advocate for the use of public bicycles and metro trains in daily life.

Consul General of Japan in HCMC Ono Masuo said this year’s festival continues to play a vital role in cultural exchange, trade, investment, and tourism, strengthening bilateral friendship and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation and development.

In addition to the HCMC event, the city will also host the first-ever HCMC Festival in Japan, set to take place on November 1 and 2 at the Tokyo International Forum Convention Center in Tokyo.

The festival in Japan will feature exhibition spaces, trade exchanges, cuisine, cultural showcases, and historical exhibits highlighting HCMC and Japan. It will also include a cultural tea exchange program and trade and investment promotion seminars to further deepen ties between the two nations.
