HCMC – HCMC attracted over 1.4 million visitors during the National Day holiday from August 30 to September 2, with the tourism sector recording total revenue of around VND4.1 trillion, official figures showed.

Of the total, there were 45,600 international tourists.

Local hotels and lodging facilities accommodated about 300,000 guests, with an average occupancy rate of 87%.

These figures were attributed to the concerted efforts of the HCMC Department of Tourism, local authorities, travel companies, and lodging providers in ensuring visitor safety and enhancing service quality.

To mark the 80th National Day, the HCMC Department of Tourism partnered with travel firms and attractions to roll out a series of themed tours.

These featured visits to Saigon Ranger Monument System, trips honoring President Ho Chi Minh, and journeys that connect historic landmarks with the city’s modern landmarks.

New tourism products also drew large crowds, such as walking tours of the Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and Independence Palace; open-top double-decker bus rides; panoramic views of HCMC from Landmark 81; dining cruises on the Saigon River; and river bus journeys offering a waterside perspective of the city.

Notably, right after the holiday, the HCMC International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC 2025) will take place, serving as a key highlight to attract domestic and international visitors and further promote the city as a dynamic, appealing, and safe destination.
