HCMC’s permanent vice chairman sustains serious injuries in road accident

HCMC – The permanent vice chairman of HCMC, Le Hoa Binh, 52, sustained life-threatening injuries in a car accident that happened early this morning on an expressway linking HCMC and the Mekong Delta, the HCMC Media Center announced in a statement.

Binh was traveling from HCMC to a Mekong Delta province together with his driver and another person when their 7-seater Toyota Land Cruiser car got punctured on the HCMC-Trung Luong Expressway at around 7:45.

The accident scene is in Thanh Duc Commune, Ben Luc District, Long An Province.

The driver, whom the media center identified as Nguyen Quang Vinh, 33, and the other passenger, named Duong Tan Truoc, 41, were also injured.
