HCMC – Vingroup (HOSE: VIC) is moving ahead with a US$350-million international bond sale after submitting a listing application to the Vienna Stock Exchange on April 9.
According to disclosed documents from Vingroup, the debt will have a face value of US$200,000, with a maximum of 1,750 bonds to be sold. The coupon rate is expected to be capped at 5.75% per year, with a term of five years from the date of issue.
The bond will be U.S.-dollar-denominated and offered to international markets, unsecured, non-convertible, and without warrants, constituting direct repayment obligations of the issuer. Notably, they are structured with an option to receive shares in Vinpearl (HOSE: VPL).
The bond is expected to be listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange and will not be offered or listed in Vietnam. The issue is planned for the second quarter of 2026, subject to market conditions and approval from relevant authorities.
Closing the trading session today, April 14, VIC surged by 3.44% day-on-day to VND165,000, with more than 3.6 million shares changing hands.
The Hochiminh Stock Exchange saw 173 gainers and 135 decliners, with the VN-Index rising 16.69 points, or 0.95%, to 1,775.65.
Total trading volume exceeded 889.3 million shares, with a value of VND23.45 trillion, broadly in line in volume and up about 4% in value from the previous session. Block trades accounted for more than 115 million shares, worth VND3.22 trillion.
VIC and VHM led the rally, with VHM being the top gainer in the VN30 basket. VHM added 4.9% to close at VND128,900.
Other notable blue-chip stocks included DGC, which picked up 3.7% to VND56,300, and HPG, which edged up 2.7% to VND28,550, with a trading volume of over 61.9 million shares. They were followed by modest gains in ACB, SSI, VRE, and VPB.
On the downside, decliners included VIB, VNM, PLX, GAS, and STB, though losses were limited to around 1% or less.
At the close, the HNX saw 74 advancers and 72 decliners, with the HNX-Index rising 0.75 point, or 0.30%, to 252.41.
Total matched volume exceeded 69.1 million shares, with a value of VND1.2 trillion. Put-through transactions added nearly 7.2 million shares, worth VND76.6 billion.
